DESCRIPTION:Fifth Annual Oaks Christian School TEDx Event Showcases "Uncharted Waters" Theme\n\n \nTEDxOaksChristianSchool will use TED's celebrated format of short\, carefully prepared talks\, acts\, and performances\, which are given both live and through TED talks from TED.com on a wide range of subjects to foster learning\, inspiration\, and wonder\, and to provoke conversations that matter. This year's speakers will not be announced until the day of the event.  \n\nTEDx is the independently organized arm of the well-known TED Talks\, which present some of the best speakers in technology\, entertainment\, and design. The content and design of TEDxOaksChristianSchool will be unique and has been developed independently\, but all TEDx events have features in common. Last year students heard from YouTube sensation Kent "Snubby J" Jenkins\, Social Justice Educator Penny Leon\, former Sony Pictures Entertainment Chair Steve Mosko\, US Navy Veteran and quadriplegic Travis Amick\, neurosurgeon Dr. Ian Armstrong\, and others. This TEDxOaksChristianSchool event is completely dedicated to providing students with inspirational encounters with leaders and innovators of all ages.
