SUMMARY:Sunset Mixer at The Golden Bull
DESCRIPTION:You're Invited to a Very Special\n\nSunset Mixer\n\n\nJoin us for a Golden Evening of Networking\n\nat\n\nTHE GOLDEN BULL\n\nTuesday\, September 19\, 5:30 to 7:00 PM\n\n170 W. Channel Road\, Santa Monica Canyon\n\n \n\nEnjoy fabulous appetizers and sips at the historic restaurant\,\n\nThe Golden Bull!\n\nWe will be meeting on the tree covered patio on a beautiful fall night.\n\n\nKnown for iconic Chops\, American Standards and Cocktails\, The Golden Bull is also famous for it's Golden Happy Hour. Check it out: https://www.goldenbullsantamonica.com/menu\n\n \nA Brief History\n\n"Tennessee Williams\, Truman Capote\, author Christopher Isherwood\, and painter Don Bachardy walk into a bar. \n\nThis isn't a joke. It's one bygone night in the mid-1960s when the four men went to Santa Monica's Golden Bull for dinner. Details of what must have been one fantastic\, martini-fueled party are lost to time\, the conversation billowed away in clouds of cigarette smoke and clinking glasses."\n\n"If those walls could talk\," says Don Cranford\, who owned The Golden Bull from 1986 to 2017. "It was definitely the place to be those years\, especially for the gay crowd. The restaurant was very mixed with lots of actors and writers and artists living here in the Canyon. It was never meant to be an exclusively gay restaurant or anything\, but they sort of took over the bar. It was just their hangout. Families went in the dining room door\, gay people went to the bar. Everyone loved it."\n\n~ Valet Parking Only ~\n\n\n \n\nIf you would like to advertise\, bring a creative inexpensive raffle gift to showcase your business... and don't forget your business cards
