Stepping out of power struggles with children
As parents, we expect our children to obey us. As children, they just want to do what they want to do. How can we allow our children to develop their own personal power and at the same time use it in constructive and contributing ways? In this 3-class series we learn how to find the balance between kind and firm and win children over to voluntarily cooperate rather them win over them and make them do what we want. We learn how to create relationships of mutual respect, where no one needs to “fight” for their needs.
This is part of a series of Parenting Classes at Roots & Wings facilitated by Estela De Wulf
All classes are based on principles and practical tools of Positive Discipline, a research-based social emotional approach to raise happy and capable children based on mutual respect and development of life skills.
