About Us

We are an engineering makerspace that provides high level tools and classes to young adults ages 10+ for them to use on their own projects.

A makerspace is a communal engineering workshop that provides engineers with the guidance and tools necessary to learn and do REAL engineering. We provide all the tools necessary to do engineering projects and many high level engineering tools that would be prohibitively expensive to buy and operate personally.

In our modern era, developing engineering skills isn’t something that should wait to begin in college. Studies have shown that a disproportionately high attrition rate within engineering majors is due to a pre college lack of preparation in technical fields. When students get to middle school, they are ready to think bigger than Legos and Minecraft and begin using real engineering tools. Forge gives the opportunity for young bright minds to start building this vital base of real engineering knowledge and skills.
