About Us

Malibu Music is owned and operated by musicians for musicians. During the WGA and SAG Strike of 2023, our managing partner, Jack Ryan Sullivan, along his business partner, Brad Boeckmann of Galpin Motors, decided to open a music store to help alleviate the ramifications that the strike had on his film composing career. Jack is still actively working in the field, but decided to also move ahead with his passion for buying and selling guitars.

We have a great mix of vintage, used, and brand new instruments for sale at our beautiful retail location in sunny, seaside Malibu. We feature guitars, banjos mandolins, bass, dobro, and acoustic electric strings. It is also a small live music venue and repair facility located in the heart of Malibu at the Malibu Country Mart on Trancas and Pacific Coast Highway.
